I love holidays.  This includes the silly daily holidays and the more serious holidays.  Many sites out there give you the dates for every holiday imaginable.  The one I typically use is Checkiday I decided to choose five holidays to celebrate in November.  Let's take a look... November 1st is National Authors Day.  I have published my first book, My Story My Divorce God's Promise, The Beginning , and I am working on my second, My Story My Divorce God's Promise, the Journey.  It is a lot of hard work, so I decided to celebrate National Author's Day.  Have a great day, all you author's out there! The next holiday I decided to celebrate is National Sandwich day because who does not like a good sandwich?  We grew up eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fluffernutter sandwiches, and tomato and bologna sandwiches. What is your favorite sandwich? Anyone who knows me will know why I choose the next holiday.  It is National Love Your Red ...

Shopping-Amazon Shopping for Cookie Baking Essentials

There is nothing like homemade cookies. I enjoy baking cookies all kinds of cookies. I love to make chewy chocolate chip cookies, soft chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, oatmeal cookies, and peanut butter cookies, but when I finally get around to baking, I realize I don't have all the cookie-baking essentials that I may need. I do have some of the equipment for making cookies. I have a stand mixer and an electric mixer. I also have a hand mixer. I have parchment paper, a rolling pin, and a cookie press. I do need other things, such as a cooling rack, silicone spatulas, a wooden spoon, spring-loaded cookie scoops, cookie cutters, and other baking tools. Let's head over to Amazon to see what I can find to make our cooking-baking experience an easy one. (I am an Amazon Affiliate, and I get a small percent of the sale of anything you buy using my links.  Don't worry; there is no added cost to you:-) 1- Nordic Ware Natural Aluminum Commercial Baker's Half Sheet, 2-Pack, ...

Travel-Where Would I Stay In Apex North Carolina? The B&B's Country Garden Inn.

Image
When you visit Apex, NC, there are several options for lodging. I live about 10 minutes from Apex, so I could not justify staying, but I decided to research where I would stay. After looking over my options, I decided I would stay at B&B's Country Garden Inn. This lovely Inn is approximately 4 miles from downtown Apex. Here is what they say on their site "B & B's Country Garden Inn is conveniently located in Apex, NC, minutes from Jordan Lake, Cary, and Raleigh. Located on several acres with a private pond, our bed and breakfast is ideal for tranquil weddings, private parties, or just a weekend getaway." Even though I did not stay, I can tell you the owners are lovely welcoming people. I was in the area just returning from downtown Apex and decided to stop by the B&B. I walked up to the door, not knowing the welcome I would receive. The owner happened to be there. I explained what I was doing, and she opened the door and welcomed me. What a nice person. S...
