There are several very nice places to eat dinner in Historic Downtown Apex, NC.  On this particular evening, I chose to enjoy dinner at Scratch Kitchen & Taproom.  Here is how they describe themselves on their website... "With dishes made from scratch, careful attention to details, and focus on southern hospitality,  we hope you find Scratch Kitchen and Taproom to be the place  to enjoy a great meal with your friends and family." I loved the ambiance of the venue.  It is warm and rustic. They have a very nice bar.  They provide both white and red wine as well as some yummy-sounding cocktails.   There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options.
