Recipe Review-Easy Homemade Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

Image
One of my Pinterest goals was to make an easy strawberry and banana smoothie recipe that looked good to me.  I found a Strawberry Banana Smoothie using fresh fruit that looked delicious and was easy to make.  I located my blender, gathered the ingredients, and got ready to make this fantastic smoothie. I made this with Jane, Riley, and Erica.  Jane was not a fan of the sound of the blender, but she loved the smoothie, as did Riley.  It was delicious.  I would give it a 9/10 on my recipe scale.  I did make some modifications.  I replaced the plain yogurt with strawberry yogurt, and I did not add the honey.   I used whole mike for this recipe also.  Here is the recipe... This would be an easy breakfast for a busy morning. If you are a smoothie lover, I suggest you try this one. Happy Eating, Everyone! KathieyV

Morning Motivation...When God Closes a Door He Opens a Window

Image
I came across a quote the other day that I have always liked.   When God closes a door he opens a window.  Someone added to that quote which made it become even more clear... “When God closes a door, he opens a window, but it's up to you to find it.” Jeannette Walls There is truth in that quote.  Yes, if a door does close, I believe God provides us with options. I, like Jeanette Walls would say, but that option does not just magically appear; we have to find it.  I don't think God intentionally hides our options, but I think we need to be motivated to seek them out. For example, In divorce, the alimony does not just appear you have to hire an attorney to make it happen. If you need a job you have to get out there and work to find one. If you want to take a nice vacation it does not just happen you have to develop a plan. If you want to make new friends you must get out there with others to find those friends. Here are a few photos and quotes... "If opportunity does...

Just For Fun on a Friday-Photos, Food and Fun!

I hope you are doing well this rainy Friday morning.  It is raining here in NC, and this Easter weekend forecast calls for rain, but on Sunday, the rain will lift, and it is supposed to be a beautiful day.   Photo of the week... I found a quote about flowers.  This quote reminds me of my early days during the divorce process when I was in a terrible way.  I would always say that God's beauty still surrounds us even in our pain. I hope you have some fun plans for this Easter weekend.  I will be spending time with my kids and grandkids.  For the easter dinner, I have been assigned deviled eggs and then to also bring some sparkling rose.  My deviled eggs are pretty basic but still taste delicious.  For the filling, I just add the egg yokes, mayo, salt and pepper, and sweet pickle juice.  Everything is added to taste.  I then beat it til smooth and then pipe it into the egg half.  Easy and yummy. Here are two deviled egg platters ...
