What Would You Wear to a Luau?
I remember as a middle school-aged kid visiting the Caribbean several times with my family. I loved the salt air and the beautiful turquoise water. One thing that always thrilled me was attending a Caribbean-themed party. I remember with delight the fire dancers, the steel bands, and the limbo dancers.

One site, The Polynesian Cultural Center, recommends a floral dress, either long or short, is acceptable. They suggest that the footwear be sandals or flip flops and that you...
"Dress up any outfit with a simple puka shell necklace, fresh flower lei around your neck or a single flower tucked behind your ear – right if single, left if taken".
I have not enjoyed going to the mall since Covid began because I am uncomfortable in a mask. I have decided to suck it up, wear a mask, go to the mall, and find an outfit. Let's go.....
