Travel: A Visit to Eno River Farm in Hillsborough NC

It was a Sunday afternoon and we decided to check out Eno River Farm in Hillsborough NC.  My daughter Erica and her husband Josh have bought property near this farm and we have driven by it several times and now it was time to check it out.  

We drove up to the lovely landscaped location.

We arrived rather late and some of the ice creams were sold out.  

I decided to try the Mango Sorbet and it was delicious.

There were many seating areas to choose from.

The family that eats ice cream together stays together:-)

I bought some peaches.  They were beautiful.  They did need a bit more time to ripen.  I waited a few days and they were perfectly ripe and great for snacking.  A wonderful treat!

I bought some yellow squash.  I found a southern squash casserole recipe online.  The recipe was easy with mayo, cheese, sour cream, butter crackers, and of course squash.  Yummy:-)

We also bought tomatoes.  There is nothing better than a tomato sandwich and we made several.
