Travel and Adventure-The Museum of Life and Science in Durham NC
I love the Museum of Life and Science in Durham NC. I have been going there for years. Initially, it was with my kids and now with my grandkids.
There have been some changes due to COVID 19 but it still remains a fun place for kids and adults alike. Sadly the butterfly house and the indoor portions of the museum are closed. You can still access parts of the treehouse except for the higher portions of the treehouse which was a huge disappointment for my grandson but we found other fun things to do.
The train was running. There are now plexiglass partitions between the seats. The conductor now leads you to your seats and makes sure there is a gap seat between guests. It was still a fun ride. You are not allowed to scream in the tunnel anymore which was always a joy for Maggie and a museum tradition. We decided we would silent scream.
One of my favorite new additions to the museum was The Wild Earth Moves. Here the kids had a chance to enjoy some water exhibits. Next time we go we are going to wear bathing suits.
You have to wear masks at the museum. Even the dinos are doing their part in this crazy pandemic.
We did have a fun day at the museum and I can't wait to return.
If you are going to go be sure and go on the site to get tickets.
They are limiting visitors due to the virus.
Happy Travels and Adventures!
