My daughter and her new hubby just received their wedding photos.  Looking over the event, I remember the happiness and "joy" that surrounded the day.  Take a look with me at my beautiful memories in photos. Here are just a few images of the big day. There are very painful events that occur in most of our lives. Turning points so devastating that we may feel like giving up. But in giving up there is so much that we would miss. We must remember God's beauty does surround us even in the pain.  Because I held on to God's promises during my darkest hour God has blessed me with joy. I am so thankful! KathieyV

Did you know that September is North Carolina Wine Month?  That's all the motivation I needed to take a drive to a winery I had heard about but never visited.  I set off for a little over an hour drive to Hurdle Mills NC to visit  Rock of Ages Winery    On my route, I saw beautiful old barns, rolling hills, and farmland.  I drove through one of my favorite towns Hillsborough NC.  There were a few slow-moving vehicles on the journey.  Instead of trying to pass them I took the time to relax and enjoy the sights of smells of the countryside. Before I knew it, I had arrived.  There it was the Rock of Ages Winery.  What a lovely building. There is nothing more inviting than a beautiful door. The building itself is beautiful. One of the blogging groups I am a part of decided to go on a Distillery Tour.  Of course, when I found out about it I said "wait for me" and off we went to Durham Distillery in Durham NC. Being more of a wine girl it will be fun to learn about and taste some of the offerings at the distillery.  Below is a quote from their website DURHAM DISTILLERY Named the # 1 Craft Gin distillery in the U.S. in 2018 by USA TODAY and the winner of Best Distillery and Best Local Liquor by Indy Week (2016, 2017 & 2018).  Located in downtown Durham, N.C.  and a certified Living Wage employer.  When you walk in there is a lovely bar area where you get your initial tasting before the tour.  I found this article by  12 Habits of Highly Productive People  Katie McLaughlin on Pinterest.  I find it so easy to be the opposite of productive, so I am always looking for helpful hints to add to my routine to be sure I can complete the tasks that need to be done.  I decided to pick two from her list to add to my routine. Here are the two habits I decided to add to my daily life. *A Dedicated Planning Time. I have all these thoughts of what I want to get done.  I find that to get things done, you need to plan it out and or in my case, write it down.  Now I will sit down with my morning cup of coffee and plan my daily and weekly goals. *Prioritize My To-Do List. I can surely see where I need to put this into practice.  It is easy to finish the easy tasks that sometimes I put off the more difficult ones even though they should have done them first.  Yes, I need to prioritize!
