Travel North Carolina-A Few Things to do in NC in January 2025

  I am always looking for fun things to do in the area.  I decided to take it further and see what events occur in North Carolina in a specific month.  Let's look at a few things you may enjoy in January 2025 in NC.


I live in the Raleigh/Durham area, so I looked for exciting events to attend in January that are within driving distance.  I would love to attend them all!

Things to do in November 2025 in the Triangle Area


November 16- Jan 12 is The NC Chinese Lantern Festival in Cary, NC.

January 17 and 18 is The music of Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Neil Diamond by Michael Cavanaugh in Raleigh NC.

January 26th is Worlds Toughest Rodeo in Raleigh NC.

January 27-February 2nd is Triangle Restaurant Week in the Triangle Area of NC.

January 31-Feb 1st it Harry Potter Live in Durham NC.

A Few Things to do In NC that are not so local to the Triangle Area.



November 20-January 5th is Winter Wonder Lights in Greensboro NC.

January 23-26th is Annual Antique Show in New Bern NC.

November 22-January 5th is Speedway Christmas in Concord NC.

January 11th is Lake James Ice Fest in Nebo NC.

January 30- Febuary 2nd is The Haywood Ice Fest in Maggie Valley NC.

Travel Blast From the Past-Linville Falls Winery in the Mountains of NC

This blast from the past was written back in 2016.  Wow, where does the time go?  I checked to make sure it is still open, and it is. Happy day! Linville Falls Winery After our somewhat strenuous hike down to the lower falls of Linville Gorge, Erica and I decided to reward ourselves with a visit to a local Winery,  Linville Falls Winery  All the way up the Gorge Trail on this somewhat warm fall day, we kept encouraging ourselves with the promise of wine and relaxation.  And it was just as we imagined...wonderful:-) Here is a description from their website.
