Exploring Kathiey's Local World....."Yates Mill Park" Raleigh NC

Sunday afternoon 14 of us from the Triangle Photography Club gathered at Yates Mill Park to try to capture some fall leaf color shots. What a nice park.  The main feature is a rustic old mill on a lovely reflective lake.  Lots of people around on this beautiful afternoon.  Many getting wedding and family photos taken by the small dam and waterfall.  There is a nice trail that leads around the lake and back to the visitor center and mill.  Here are a few of my shots..

We were a bit too early for the fall colors.  There were a few leaf changes but I think next week will bring out more of the reds and yellows.  Regardless, it was a fun trip to yet another place in my area that I have never visited.  Worth the trip.  I would like to go back and explore more of the many trails in this park.

Get out and enjoy your world everyone:-)

  1. AWESOME! Love the photos!! I really love the one with the trees reflection in the water ~ and the one where the water is spilling over the wall. ALL of them are wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love the first B&W one of the mill. Very stark - in a good way!
